When a SLOWPOKE's head is bitten by a SHELLDER, it evolves into SLOWKING. The venom from the SHELLDER's bite seeps into SLOWKING's brain causing it to become very wise and intelligent.

Not very good, but I'm just trying to get the ball rolling.

I think we wanted to avoid entries that reference another Pokemon? Although Shellder+Slowpoke is canon.

I like it, but not sure if others will. Is there some basis for calling Slowking wise and intelligent?

It's too long even if there was a good argument for repeating SLOWKING, so this will help shorten. I'm iffy on using that many references to other Pokemon, but the fact that Shellder is canon, and that the idea is pretty original makes me sit on the yes side of the fence.
